Commander Gordon P. Chung-Hoon, USN - Awarded the Silver Star and Navy Cross for operations against the enemy while in command of the SIGSBEE during the Iwo Jima and Okinawa campaigns.
Lt. Commander Milton J. Morgan, USNR - Awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct and performance of outstanding service as executive officer, navigator, and CIC evaluator in operations against the enemy.
Lt. Lester K. Schultz, USN - Received the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious achievement in connection with operations against the enemy.
Lt. Carl F. Braun, USNR - Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic service while serving as damage control officer. When is vessel was struck y an enemy plane he immediately reported to the scene of the crash and personally extinguished an electrical fire in the vicinity of exposed 40 mm ammunition and thus prevented more serious damage. He then successfully directed damage control parties.
Lt. (jg) Richard E. Braumiller, USNR - Received the Fleet Commendation Medal, Fifth Fleet, Admiral Spruance, for meritorious achievement in connection with operations against the enemy.
Calasanz J. Jones, Jr. Bkr3/c, USN - Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic service, Though seriously burned and wounded by the explosion of an enemy plane crashing into the stern of his vessel, he refused medical attention and assisted in the evacuation of all wounded personnel from the scene of the crash during subsequent air attacks.
John Malinowski, CM2/c, USN - Awarded the Bronze Star Medal for heroic service. Though injured and suffering from shock, he refused medical attention and with complete disregard for his own personal safety assisted in the removal of all injured personnel from the scene of the crash and further assisted the medical officer by administering first aid to the other wounded presonnel.
James D. Edwards, GM2/c, USNR - Received the Fleet Commendation Medal, Fifth Fleet, Admiral Spruance, for meritorious achievement in connection with operations against the enemy.
