February 1, 1943 he was received aboard the USS Sigsbee DD-502 as S2c from USS Ellyson DD-454 at Brooklyn Navy Yard. Rogers Bernard Young, F1c battle station was after steering where he was killed in action April 14, 1945.  He served 2 years, 2 months, 14 days aboard the USS Sigsbee.DD-502. God rest his soul.
